Silicone cups are used to provide suction or “negative pressure” during the massage. This makes a Deep Tissue Massage more effective since I’ll be able to manipulate tissue in more directions when compression isn’t enough. Suction can be customized to clients comfort level, so they can be added to Swedish massage as well. I like to move the cups around to do a pulling technique on the skin and muscle that would otherwise wear out my hands.
